About the Opportunity

An IM/IT Manager, reports to an IM/IT Director, and oversees a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of initiatives and programs throughout the province as the organization moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the OPOR strategy.

The IM/IT Manager will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to leverage IT applications in support of NSH’s and its clients strategic mission, vision and goals. The IM/IT Manager performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, prepare and present security reports and recommendations to senior management, coordination of resources and stakeholders; managing timelines and milestones; documenting outcomes; and, monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of activities to the appropriate leadership team members. Additionally, this management position ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by NSH IM/IT business plan, established policies/procedures, and in line with service level agreements between NSH, IWK and the department of health. The IM/IT manager would also function in a senior subject matter expert role within the team.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field required. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and minimum of 10 years progressive leadership experience required
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ leadership experience with IT/IM Services, programs and applications required
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are desirable
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Professions (PMO) and/or organizational change management certification an asset
  • Experience with risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS Controls)
  • Experience supporting systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and security considerations is desirable
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Experience in incident response, cyber security threats and trends 
  • Develop and implement IT security policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 
  • Experience in working with patient care leaders

Hours

  • Permanent, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Biweekly
  • Hybrid work arrangement (at home and in office)
  • Travel to various sites may be required 

Compensation and Benefits

$45.45 - $56.81 Hourly
