Licensure for International Educated Psychologist

Before applying for a psychologist position in Nova Scotia, you’ll need to be licensed by the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP). For U.S.-trained psychologists, this process focuses on confirming that your education, supervised experience, and examinations meet Canadian standards. It typically includes credential review, completion of supervised practice requirements, and passing the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP), with additional assessments as required. We recommend starting the licensing process early to allow time for review—and our team is here to support you throughout the journey.
