About the Opportunity
The Health Support Aide has an important role within the Pathology & Laboratory Medicine team and is responsible for helping with daily routines of care and to support patients/clients with activities of daily living. The role will include: the swabbing of patients for COVID-19 and other support functions under the guidance and direction of licensed health care professionals.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12
- Any previous related experience or related education would be an asset
- Knowledge of infection control procedures an asset
- Current BCLS
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred
- Relevant first aid, first responder training i.e. St. John Ambulance course, HS lifeguard certificate, an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with patients/clients, hospital staff, public and referral sources
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
Permanent, Part-Time position; 52.5 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$19.26 - $20.02 Hourly
