About the Opportunity

The Power Engineer is responsible for the safe efficient operation and maintenance of high pressure steam boilers, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, emergency power diesel generating unit and auxiliary equipment to respond to calls from other departments concerning maintenance and operation of hospital equipment, including, that directly related to patient care, while working in accordance with the Power Engineer’s and Plant Operations regulations.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
 

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.
  • 4th Class Stationary Engineer certificate required.
  • Previous experience in plant/building operations and maintenance, including repairs on related systems and equipment required.
  • Three years’ experience in maintenance and plant operations preferred.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow oral and written instructions required.
  • Knowledge and observation of safe work practices required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision required.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team.
  • Working experience with computers considered an asset.
  • Current WHMIS certification is required.
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts is required
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

  • Permanent Full Time (100% Position), 75 Hours Bi-Weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$28.29 - $28.79 Hourly
