About the Opportunity

 

The Research Assistant contributes to a particular research study or division by assisting with study administration, providing general administrative support, and maintaining study data. In this position, you will support ongoing studies by:

 

  • Assisting in collecting, entering, and managing clinical and research data in compliance with study protocols
  • Ensuring adherence to institutional and regulatory guidelines, including REB submissions and updates
  • Liaising with study team members, clinical staff, and external collaborators to facilitate research activities
  • Conducting literature searches and summaries to support research projects
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed documentation, including progress reports and data summaries

 

About You

 

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field required
  • Completed post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field preferred
  • Two years’ research related experience preferred
  • TCPS2: CORE Certification considered an asset
  • CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
  • Effective communication, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to draft, format and edit office correspondence
  • Well developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Skills and experience in promoting learning cultures that nurture equity, diversity and inclusivity with a focus on intersectional values, analysis, and actions, clinical humility, and the responsible use of power and privilege.
  • Previous experience in a health care/research setting is an asset

Hours

 

  • Full-Time, Long Assignment (75 hours bi-weekly)
  • 6-month assignment starting as soon as possible
  • This role requires you to be onsite and is based in Sydney, Nova Scotia

Compensation and Benefits

 

$22.34 - $27.92 Hourly

$43,564 - $54,455 Annually
