Incentives:

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, the Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) works in collaboration with all members of the Laboratory Services team to conduct medical laboratory tests, experiments and analyses to assist in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
The MLT ensures that the principles and practices that guide our work such as the mission, vision, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the services they provide and through the messages they deliver.
The successful candidate will be required to work in the Core Lab (Biochemistry/ Hematology / Transfusion Medicine Section) of the Laboratory Department.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduation from a School of Laboratory Technology and current registration in the Canadian Society of Laboratory Science and practising status with the Nova Scotia College of Medical Laboratory Technologists
- Ability to work alone.
- Knowledge of transportation of infectious substances
- Must be willing to rotate between Lab sites and departments of the CBRH as required.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good attendance and work record
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Shifts may include nights, evenings, weekends & holidays
Compensation and Incentives
$30.68 - $37.36 hourly
