About the Opportunity

Under the supervision of the Nutrition & Food Service supervisor and manager of Nutrition and Food Services, the Red Seal Cook independently, and within a team, prepares meals using standardized quantity recipes for patient food services operations, as well as for clientele for the cafeteria/catering/retail services. The Red Seal Cook, in collaboration with the other cooking staff, is also responsible for menu planning and maintaining a high standard of sanitation and safety in an institutional food service operation.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Grade 12 or equivalent required
  • Red Seal cooking certification required
  • Serv Safe Advanced course required or willingness to obtain within (6) months of hire date
  • One (1) year food service experience required
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting, bending, walking, standing)
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Compensation and Incentives

$23.44 - $26.21 Hourly
