About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Child Care Assistant is a member of the Taigh Gradhach Care Team who administers care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.  The Child Care Assistant performs personal care for residents and assists in sharing of resident information, admission, transfer and discharge of residents.  The Child Care Assistant maintains a comfortable and caring relationship with residents and a professional relationship with residents’ family members.  This person must be highly motivated and capable of working with residents with complex care needs.  Other job-related duties.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12
  • Completion of a Community College certificate program in child care and development or Continuing Care Assistant
  • BCLS or CPR Certification
  • Experience in caring for children with disabilities within the last three (3) years
  • Ability to maintain good relationships with patients, families, co-workers and other team members
  • Willingness to accept supervision by a designated Nurse
  • Competencies in other languages an asset; French preferred

  • Casual position
  • Commencing as soon as possible

Compensation and Benefits

$23.97- $28.11
