About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Executive Director, Acute Health Services, the Director Integrated Health in collaboration with Site Medical Leads is responsible for operational planning, management and leadership of acute care services to ensure care is integrated and reflects best practice evidenced based standards, in a matrix model with Program leaders.  This includes ensuring that the services and programs meet clinical, teaching (and if applicable research standards), within the established standards of care criterion.

Working in a co-leadership model, the Director has shared accountability in setting priorities and implementing strategies that support a family centered care environment, across a continuum of care. The Director working with physician leads ensure that programs and services are quality focused, with measurable outcomes, and reviewed regularly, using a family centered care approach.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Master Degree in a Health Related Discipline required (A combination of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a Health Related discipline may also be considered)
  • Eligible for registration in a health care discipline in Nova Scotia required
  • CHE Designation an asset
  • 5 years of relevant senior leadership experience with progressive accountabilities for supply chain management, financial, strategic and people management required
  • Experience working in matrix model health care management services
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, decision making negotiating, communication, conceptualization & evaluation
  • Specific experience with strategic and operational planning and implementation and related management functions
  • Demonstrated track record of success in matrix model health management involving significant departmental responsibilities.
  • Experienced in management/leadership activities involving organizational change, strategic planning, human resource administration, and financial planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective change agent using interpersonal, communication and team building skills.
  • Proven relationship building skills (including external partners)
  • Proven experience building high performing teams
  • Demonstrated organizational and priority setting skills

Hours

  • Permanent, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$58.10 - $77.19 Hourly
