About the Opportunity
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer reports to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, as a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Team performs patient care, technical activities, and duties directly related to the overall functioning of the department. The purpose of this position involves the performance of routine and specialized ultrasound procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department ensuring proper application of ultrasound techniques and procedures.
Travel to other sites may be required.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
- Sonography Canada certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- Current CPR Certification
- Comprehension of the technical language to be able to review and use manuals and take part in relevant discussions
- Previous experience is an asset
- Registration with more than one ultrasound credential is an asset
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Call back, stand by and shift work required, including days, evenings, nights, and weekend and holiday coverage
Compensation and Benefits
$34.24 - $39.96 hourly
