About the Opportunity

The Coordinator of Northern Shared Chronic Pain Services reports to the Managers of the primary level Chronic Pain Service at Cumberland Regional, Colchester East Hants Health Center, Aberdeen Regional and St. Martha's Regional Hospitals. This service operates one day a week from each of these four facilities. Overall accountability for the Northern Shared Chronic Pain Service is shared between the four sites as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding. The Coordinator is responsible for strategic leadership and ensuring the delivery of chronic pain service across the four sites in a manner consistent with the “Provincial Action Plan “DOH based on best practice guidelines. The Coordinator of Northern Shared Chronic Pain Services coordinates the chronic pain clinical services across the area, carried out by interdisciplinary teams functioning in each district.  The Coordinator of Northern Shared Chronic Pain Services is the lead liaison with physicians, external service providers, provincial and others relevant to the service.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Recognized completion of a University Degree in Allied Health, Social Science or related relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in working with chronic pain patients
  • Experience in program/ service coordination or management
  • Licensed or licensable in Nova Scotia in their professional discipline
  • Demonstrated competence in electronic communication, EMR, Clinical Sharepoint and Meditech, excellence in Microsoft Office products, including excel, word, and outlook (email, calendar, etc.)
  • This position requires travel to various locations and as such access to transportation is required

Hours

  • Permanent part-time (80%) position; 60 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$37.61 - $49.97 Hourly
