About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, Emergency Department, Medical, Procedure Unit and EKG, the Administrative Assistant provides confidential support to the Manager,  while facilitating and coordinating the administrative operations in support of the goals and objectives of the department(s). The Administrative Assistant supports the activities of the Manager to focus on the strategic directions, portfolio goals and objectives, and provides additional support to individuals, committees or working groups as assigned. 


 

The Administrative Assistant ensures that the principles and practices that guide our work such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the support that is provided by the work that they do and through the messages they deliver.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

•    Graduate of a recognized office administration program/business program/secretarial program
•    Minimum of three (3) years' of administrative experience OR a combination of equivalent education, training, and experience
•    Advanced working knowledge of computers required, including Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Database Programs
•    High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail and self-discipline/focus required
•    Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision required
•    Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
•    Demonstrated ability to respectfully work with a variety of inter-professional team members required
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills
•    Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Casual relief, no guaranteed hours

  • Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation and Benefits

$23.34- $29.18 Hourly
