About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director People Services and working collaboratively with project and communications leaders, the Senior Consultant for Change and Operational Readiness is responsible for the development and oversight of Nova Scotia Health's change management methodology, ensures the initiatives have established change management plans and provides direct leadership for the change management plan and activities for assigned priorities/initiatives. 

 

The Senior Consultant Change and Operational Readiness:

 

  • Provides leadership to the Senior Director People Services on overall transformation, change management and operational readiness requirements for assigned priorities/initiatives.
  • Provides consultation and leadership to build NSH’s capacity to adapt successfully to health system and organizational change, new technologies and the challenges inherent in a complex health care organization.
  • Provides readiness plans/checklists with project and operational leadership.  Monitors and ensures plans are kept up to date, including adding new items or removing items no longer relevant.
  • Adopts and follows best practices with respect to strategic change management initiatives and participates in project monitoring, tracking and outcome reporting across portfolios and teams.

 

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Bachelors degree with a specialization in organizational development, human resources development, organizational or industrial psychology.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a change management leadership role involved in planning and implementing a variety of large complex change management initiatives.
  • Previous experience in supporting and coordinating major transformation projects which includes change management, training and communications plans.
  • Certification in PROSCI Change Management, considered an asset
  • Mastery in the development and use of change management tools and processes.
  • Experience facilitating team meetings and in developing and providing education on process improvement activities
  • Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Experience in utilizing technology to create efficiencies and streamline tracking, retrieval and distribution of information
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

  • Permanent, Full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
