About the Opportunity

Reporting to the supervisor / manager, the Senior Stores Clerk supports management with the coordination of the daily operations of supply distribution, including; scheduling of Stores Clerks based on workload, acting as a resource for the department and district, and addressing client/customer service issues. Under the Supply Chain Services, the Senior Stores Clerk exhibits sound judgement and initiative while working within the Mission and Vision of the Service and incorporates into daily practice of the core competencies and values of the organization.

 

The Senior Stores Clerk will maintain and update the computerized inventory control system, ensuring the accuracy of inventory data by organizing daily cycle counts, and working closely with procurement to update any new products. They will oversee print and sort by priority the orders to be picked and delivered, investigate and process returns to the warehouse. Work closely with staff to review quotas and backordered items and support any issues related to those products. Support the receiving staff and supply distribution to ensure all client needs are met on a daily basis. Ensure safe, clean and organized warehouse/stockrooms at all times. May perform other related duties as required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required
  • One (1) year logistical program or two (2) years related experience required
  • Must have or be willing to take the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification course and WHMIS certification.
  • Experience in computer inventory systems is an asset
  • Ability to deal with customers and help resolve work related issues
  • Computer skills, problem solving, phone etiquette
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Physical ability to lift, push, pull and transport heavy objects
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent / Full-Time / 75 Hours Bi-weekly 

Compensation and Benefits

$24.70 - $27.87 Hourly
