About the Opportunity


Reporting to the Manager and working closely with the Leads of the Integrated Scheduling Services, the Scheduling Informatics analyst will support the implementation, optimization, and adoption of Scheduling, Time Entry and Shift Replacement systems and initiatives by working collaboratively with stakeholders, technical experts and leaders as required. Using critical and creative thinking this role analyzes, prioritizes, and translates user needs and requests related to systems and standards while upholding collective agreement compliance.

 

The Scheduling Informatics Analyst will be committed to a high standard of performance will provide support across the province for the implementation and support for zonal scheduling operations and the clients they serve. Integral to the support of the systems and their users, the analyst will participate in upgrades to systems and tools, testing activities, as well as familiarizing themselves with knowledgebases related to those systems. This role participates as a member of a cross-functional People Services Team to ensure all clients are receiving quality service and communication.

 

The Scheduling Informatics Analyst will apply in-depth knowledge of systems, processes and policies as they pertain to collective agreements and standards of practice for scheduling so they can provide guidance and resolve issues. This includes educating clients on system function, changes and additions, while also guiding clients to self-serve information and education for future use.
 

About You


We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Graduate of post-secondary degree/ program in Business Administration, Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience in workflow and process design an asset
  • Able to function well within a team setting and independently
  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communications skills
  • Minimum 3 years of scheduling and or time entry experience in a healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of collective agreements, employment guides and legislation
  • Ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult scenarios to clinical and business staff an asset
  • Basic knowledge of systems principles, theories, and concepts within healthcare
  • Experience with reporting or data analysis an asset
  • Demonstrated Planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with the NSHA leadership team by understanding work demands, expectations and Scheduling services requirements in order to effectively partner with the client group
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to solve high risk, complex issues
  • Ability to work successfully within a high change environment with a level of ambiguity with roles and functions

Hours

 

  • Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • 6 positions
  • Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • A skill test may be included as part of the selection process
  • Location:  Will be determined based on the Successful Candidate
  • This position will be hybrid, with a majority of work being remote.

 

Compensation and Incentives

 

$29.04 - $36.29 Hourly
