About the Opportunity
The Research Assistant contributes to multiple assigned oncology research studies with human participants, by assisting with study administration, by providing general administrative support (such as mail runs, lab kit ordering and receipt), and by entering and maintaining study data into research Protocol-specific databases. In your day-to-day, you will work directly with the team of Research Nurse coordinators and assist in preparing documentation they need prior to research participant encounters. You will also interact directly with our study sponsor representatives (pharmaceutical companies and granting institutions), as they come on-site to monitor data integrity and accuracy. For any noted omissions or discrepancies, the sponsor representatives may issue queries, which you will be in charge of (responses may be gathered from the physician investigator or the nursing team). You will report to the ACCRU Clinical Operations Manager.
