About the Opportunity
The Quality and Project Manager focuses on the system and cultural changes required to fulfill and maintain quality performance across the CZ Inpatient Medicine, Orthopedics and Neurosciences portfolios who supports most programs and services at the QEII. This includes both current and future health care needs involving collaboration with programs and zone leadership to ensure alignment with system level goals and resources. Using a systems approach and the CZ Quality Framework, the Quality and Project Manager works collaboratively with the CZ inpatient care leadership teams, staff and citizens and stakeholders to lead, support and foster a culture of people-centre care, safety, and performance excellence.
Proactive and strategic thinker to implement projects and initiatives that achieve portfolio/organizational priorities and meet project timelines under the direction of the Director(s). This role will be responsible for coordination and implementation of existing initiatives, ensuring projects progress within set timeframes to achieve stated deliverables. This position will support multiple projects within the inpatient medicine, orthopedics and neurosciences portfolios, with a special focus on those projects that use data for quality improvement and system performance planning and reporting as well those initiatives which are overarching and zone/provincially set.
Collaboration and communication are key to this role. The project manager will be working directly with care providers and leaders within the inpatient medicine, orthopedics and neurosciences portfolios, health system leaders, community partners and patients in designing, executing and evaluating implementation efforts. The ideal candidate will also possess strong skills in implementing system level quality improvement initiatives, in collaboration with provincial stakeholders as appropriate.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Graduate degree in a health specific related field and/or equivalent in education and experience
- Undergraduate degree in a health care profession - Clinical experience in acute inpatient care preferred
- Project Management education program and/or equivalent education and experience
- Three to five years of relevant clinical experience
- Three years leadership experience in a health care setting
- Experience in strategic planning, project management, program development, program evaluation or quality management principles
- Two years planning, evaluation or quality initiative experience in a health care environment including health care reengineering.
- Experience in working with formal leadership and front-line staff in collaborative/partnership activities
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

- Permanent, Full- Time, 75 Hours Bi- Weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$40.15 - $50.19 Hourly
