About the Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Director, Infrastructure & Planning - QEII Redevelopment, the Manager, Infrastructure - QEII Redevelopment has responsibility for leading the infrastructure component of functional planning and NSH construction management of all active Redevelopment projects, in conjunction with the broader BNS project team. Build Nova Scotia (BNS), has responsibility for the project execution of the QEII Redevelopment projects.
This position will work in collaboration with the QEII Redevelopment Project Team to deliver on the redevelopment of the QEII Health Service Center and will focus on the QEII Campus, located in Halifax NS. This position will support the Director, Infrastructure & Planning - QEII Redevelopment in their role as the functional planning & construction execution leader along with NSH & BNS leadership. This will include taking a leadership role on various project processes such as infrastructure planning & developing construction implementation plans with the design team to mitigate potential project risks. Numerous processes and strategies are being developed & executed as the project grows and you will be expected to develop the strategies, implement them, assess their impact, and adjust as required.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (in NS) in a relevant discipline required
- Healthcare infrastructure project experience will be a major asset
- Project Management Professional certification
- Master's degree in Business or Engineering
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience in a leadership role in large project management.
- Experience leading a wide range of complex projects and stakeholder teams, committees, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills and consultation within a diverse range of stakeholder teams
- Strong budgeting and project estimating skills.
- Proven record of success working with staff, contractors and clients.
- Proven ability to apply quality management principles and processes.
- Ability to apply risk assessment and management principles and processes.
- Strong communication, planning, presentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other departments, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Significant professional experience and competence in building operations and facilities management.

Compensation and Benefits
$48.17 - $60.21 Hourly
