About the Opportunity

Within their scope of practice and in collaboration with patients and the health care team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care for patients with defined health challenges and predictable outcomes. As the acuity or complexity increases and/or outcomes are not predictable, the LPN, under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), provides nursing interventions, within their scope of practice. The RN retains accountability for the assignment and/or delegation of patient care activities to the LPN, but the LPN is accountable for individual actions or practices.
