About the Opportunity

This is a pooling posting; your application will be paired with an existing vacancy.

 

Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, the Journeyman Cook prepares standardized recipes for patients and long-term care residents. The Journeyman Cook, on occasion may produce made to order options for veterans. The Journeyman Cook is responsible for maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following: 

 

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Certified Journeyman Cook
  • 1 year experience preferred
  • Baking skills are an asset
  • Ability to deal with customers and patients in a courteous, helpful manner
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages preferred; French an asset

Hours

  • Casual Relief / 3% FTE

  • Shiftwork / Call / Rotation / etc

Compensation and Benefits

$23.45 - $26.21 Hourly

11% in lieu of benefits and vacation
