About the Opportunity

The Biomedical Engineering Statistics Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the Biomedical Engineering Department which consists of 36 technical staff and two administrative staff spread out over three physical locations. The department provides services to the entire Central zone, consisting of over twenty thousand pieces of equipment in 250+ departments spread out over 10 facilities, resulting in approximately twenty thousand work orders per year. Additionally, this position provides statistical data and month end and other periodic reporting to department management as well as provides statistical information to others on demand. This position is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the equipment maintenance management database which impacts patient safety and protects the liability of the hospital.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Grade 12/GED required
  • Two years experience in a related, administrative role.
  • One year Office/Business Administration diploma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products (Work, Excel, Access and Microsoft)
  • Experience working with databases
  • Familiar with equipment maintenance, purchasing and payroll systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

Hours

  • Long Assignment, Full-time position; 70 hours bi-weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$23.19 - $26.24 Hourly
