About the Opportunity
Under the general Supervision of the Team Lead and Manager of Support Services for Diagnostic Imaging, the Booking and Registration Clerk is responsible for registering, booking, and Image Attendant duties within Diagnostic Imaging. The incumbent may rotate among these positions within the Department. Other duties will include patient booking and notification; emergency, inpatient, and outpatient registration; receiving, changing, and preparing patients for their imaging exam; lifting recycle bins and bags of soiled laundry weighing between 10 to 20 pounds and additional related tasks as needed.
Rotation between QEII sites may be required.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade 12 plus one year related clerical experience or a recognized one-year secretarial/business program
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience using Cerner Millenium preferred
- Experience using STAR preferred
- Data entry experience
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize duties
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent part-time position; 56 hours biweekly
- 11am - 5pm Monday to Friday; hours subject to change as operationally required
Compensation and Benefits
$23.35 - $25.39 hourly
