About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Planning & Redevelopment, the Administrative Assistant coordinates all administrative requirements and activities to support the development of redevelopment planning documents that will help shape infrastructure investment across Nova Scotia. The position coordinates all administrative activities, including the scheduling of user group meetings, establishes administrative procedures and guidelines and acts as a liaison with the executive assistants and administrative assistants within the portfolio and across the health authority. This position provides support to assigned individuals, committees or working groups, as well as supports other members of the Planning & Redevelopment team.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program required, Undergraduate degree is an asset 

  • International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience, providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare and within an integrated service model provided throughout several locations with multiple partners and stakeholders. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing and organizational skills are required.

  • Demonstrated competencies requiring advanced skills and abilities in all facets of modern office practices and technology and with information and meeting technologies. 

  • Experience utilizing technology in meeting planning to create efficiencies and streamline tracking and retrieval of information.

  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Long assignment, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly
  • Beginning as soon as possible with an expected end date of October 2029
  • Dates are subject to change
  • This position utilizes a hybrid workplace model that combines working from home with working onsite in Central Zone. Candidates can live and work from anywhere in the province/zone, with expectation to be in the office 3 days a week.

Compensation and Benefits

$23.78 - $29.73 Hourly
