About the Opportunity

The Borderline Personality Disorder Treatment Program is an outpatient, tertiary care service that provides intensive treatment for adults with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Our team has received intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT); however, our overall approach is one of assimilative integration. That is, our treatment is anchored in and adherent to DBT, providing all four modes of treatment (including telephone consultation during office hours), yet we integrate principles and techniques from other orientations, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy  and process group theory. Clinicians contribute to the academic mandate of the Mental Health and Addictions Program through program evaluation, clinical research, teaching, clinical supervision, and consultation to other teams and services within the Mental Health and Addictions Program.

Reporting to the Health Services Manager, Specialty Services and the Clinical Director, the Psychologist will be a part of an interdisciplinary team providing specialized assessment and treatment of BPD. They will provide direct clinical care, supervise other clinicians and trainees, and contribute to the academic mandate of the Mental Health and Addictions Program.

Please Note: Recruitment incentives may be offered to the successful candidates based on qualifying criteria.
