About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Provincial Director of MHA Policy and Planning or a Zone Director while maintaining the Provincial delivery model and scope of MHA Intake the Provincial Lead provides leadership for the strategic direction of access and flow to services within Mental Health and Addictions. This includes all new client access to service and all transfers of care (TOC) into and out of care. The Provincial Lead is responsible for ensuring required resources are available to develop and deliver responsive, flexible, and innovative approaches to delivering Mental Health and Addictions care throughout the province. The Provincial Lead is responsible for engaging in collaborative conversations and strategic planning with stakeholders in order to enhance effective and efficient access to MHA service at Intake and TOC throughout the province.
Working in partnership with the Director and senior leaders provincially, the Provincial Lead takes a leadership role in developing and maintaining a system of Intake that reflects the needs of Nova Scotians and service providers.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Master's degree in health profession, or health administration
- Registered or eligible to be registered in the appropriate licensing body in Nova Scotia
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and addiction care delivery systems in various hospital and community settings
- Demonstrated understanding of leadership behaviours and capabilities consistent with a LEADS framework.
- Minimum of 5 -7 years management experience required
- Minimum of 5 years progressive leadership required
- Minimum of 5 years of practice in the field of mental health and addictions required
- Experience in engaging, mentoring, and empowering teams and stakeholders
- Experience in engaging, mentoring, and empowering teams and stakeholders in a collaborative manner to respond to the mission, vision, goals and objectives of the health system's service delivery model.
- Experience in initiating, leading, and managing organizational change, and complex work.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with ability to interpret program evaluation data to inform quality and performance indicators and benchmarks.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, and negotiating skills with the ability to develop and sustain alliances with health care partners.
- Experience working with diversity of learners, staff, and stakeholders, with knowledge of cultural competence, diversity and social inclusion.
- Experience in financial planning and human resource management.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
- Permanent Full Time position, 75 hours bi weekly.
Compensation and Benefits
$51.14 - $67.95 Hourly
