About the Opportunity

The Physiotherapist reports to the Program Manager and as a member of a clinical team, the physiotherapist collaborates with colleagues to determine team goals and objectives, participates in the evaluation of team effectiveness, solves problems, and shares responsibilities. The physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairments, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers with regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and pain management. The physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides.

 

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or acceptable equivalent from a recognized school of Physiotherapy
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapy and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Maintains current certification in CPR
  • Thorough knowledge of Physiotherapy practice, with an interest in program development and evaluation skills
  • Demonstrated accountability
  • Strong client focus and ability to build solid client/practitioner relationships
  • Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated planning, organization and time management skills
  • Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health
  • Travel may be required based upon the position
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent, Part-time position; 52.5 hours bi-weekly

 

Compensation and Benefits

$33.97 - $42.89 Hourly 

 

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
