About the Opportunity
Go live implementation begins on May 9th, 2026 in all of central zone. Start date for this position is April 7 with a training period occurring from April 7-May 8th. Following the end of the go-live implementation successful candidates will transition to a true casual status and may be re-engaged for subsequent go-lives through out the 2026 based on availability, performance, and organizational need.
The ATE Support role for the OPOR project is structured to provide robust, in-person and virtual support across the province during four pivotal Go-Live phases. This role involves shift work, with schedules varying based on the project stage.
- During the implementation phase, you will be expected to work shifts that provide 24/7 coverage. In contrast, the pre-Go-Live period will typically follow a standard Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. schedule.
This flexible arrangement supports effective project delivery while prioritizing work-life balance and personal commitments. Extensive travel to Go-Live sites will be required during the Pre and Go Live phases. As an At The Elbow (ATE) Support Consultant, you will play a crucial role as the primary liaison between healthcare professionals and the advanced technology systems they rely on. Your responsibilities include providing immediate, hands-on support for the OPOR CIS system and other key IT applications. By delivering on-site assistance, resolving technical issues, and offering personalized training, you will empower frontline staff to focus on patient care without being impeded by technology challenges. Your expertise will ensure that healthcare technology implementation and usage are aligned with organizational objectives, driving enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of care across the system.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Detail oriented and ability to follow direction
- Well-developed organizational and communication skills
- Possess a valid drivers' license and access to reliable transportation with ability to travel within the province, required
- Previous Go Live EMR support considered an asset
- Previous experience supporting or using clinical application systems and related services in a complex healthcare environment considered a strong asset
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and tasks
- Ability to work successfully within a high change environment with a level of ambiguity with roles and functions
- Previous experience working alongside or supporting physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and RN prescribers, an asset
- Strong English language skills are required for this position. Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Consultant Level 0 Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or university degree, required
Consultant Level 1 Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in clinical, health science, information technology/clerical, and/or health adjacent field.*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- 1-3 years working in a healthcare setting, required.
Consultant Level 2 Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in health science, information technology, and/or health adjacent field.*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- 1-3 years of Go Live support for EMR required, Cerner preferred
Consultant Level 3 Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma / degree in a clinical health science, required
- Registration with your provincial regulatory body, required
- 1-3 years hospital based experience, required
Consultant Level 4 Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma / degree in Registered Nursing, required
- Registration with Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN), required
- 1-3 years hospital based experience, required
