About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, the Team Leader coordinates and supervises the operation of  community-based mental & addiction services programs that delivers mental health & addiction assessment, treatment, and disposition planning to clients and their families with mental health disorders across the lifespan. Ensures and oversees provision of comprehensive services to this target population. Liaison with local inpatient, outpatient and community-based services and agencies as well as with inpatient mental health units is encouraged to promote consistency and continuity of patient care. 

 

The Team Leader provides clinical supervision/support to multi-disciplinary team and ongoing and extensive clinical supervision to new clinicians and clinicians with little experience within this specialty as part of recruitment and retention strategies.         

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

 

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy or Clinical Therapists from an acceptable educational institution 
  • Licensed with applicable body 
  • Three (3) years' experience with Mental Health & Addictions intervention
  • Provides evidence-based therapeutic intervention to Mental Health & Addictions clients
  • Ensures all clinical staff provide effective and evidence-based treatment modalities
  • Identifies areas for service improvement and facilitates and evaluates quality initiatives
  • Drafts Standard Operating Procedures, orientation materials and others guidelines for care
  • Provides clinical leadership and supervision to the multi-disciplinary team and ongoing and extensive clinical oversight to new clinicians and clinicians with little experience within this specialty
  • Facilitates internal referrals
  • Nonviolent crisis intervention
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Long assignment full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Approximately 12 months, dates are approximate and subject to change
  • Travel to various sites may be required

Compensation and Incentives

$44.36 - $51.72 hourly
