About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Health Services Manager and working under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals, the Care Team Assistant provides direct, hands-on care based on the needs of the patient and program/unit. As a member of the collaborative care team, the Care Team Assistant is responsible for supporting patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. The Care Team Assistant also reinforces patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.

About You

  • Continuing Care Assistant Program 
  • Provincial Certification with Department of Health and Wellness
    • Candidates are required to submit their certification and be registered and active with the CCA Registry. How-to-Sign-Up-for-the-CCA-Registry.pdf (nsccaprod.wpenginepowered.com) 
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Demonstrates effective listening skills
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

Permanent, Full-Time / 75 Hours Bi-Weekly

Compensation and Benefits

$23.71 - $25.70 Hourly
