About the Opportunity

Our team is seeking applicants for the position of Medical Laboratory Assistant.  This is a pooling posting for interested candidates to drop us a resume and be paired with a vacancy that best fits their skills and qualifications. Hours of work and work locations vary throughout the province. 


Our Medical Laboratory Assistants work in collaboration with and supports all members of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (PLM) by performing various functions relating to pre and post-analytical phrases of testing. 

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:


  • Recognized Medical Laboratory Assistant Program or equivalent (as determined by employer) 
  • Candidates must have successfully completed the Medical Laboratory Assistant examinations of the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and have current registration with CSMLS 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity to handle sharp instruments and small objects
  • Ability to perform procedures with a high degree of accuracy
  • Basic computer skills, LIS  (Cerner Millennium) experience is preferred

Compensation and Incentives

$22.40 - $25.37 Hourly


Our benefits package includes health, dental, travel, long term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan for eligible positions.
