About the Opportunity
The IMIT/OPOR Junior Analyst works closely with the Business Analyst/Systems Analyst and Senior Systems Analyst. Reporting to an IMIT/OPOR Manager to contribute to providing IT application support services throughout NSH. The Junior Analyst assists with supporting the operations and project tasks within the team. The Jr Analyst works with the Analyst, Senior Analyst, Manager, and the Director, (as needed) to conduct value-added application support in all operational areas of NSH. The ability to meet project deadlines is essential. The Junior Analyst also assists in conducting investigations and follow up engagements, and providing advisory services as requested, with appropriate supervision.
The Junior Analyst will work collaboratively with stakeholders, technical experts and/or vendors as required. The Junior Analyst is detail oriented with the ability to perform tasks as documented or directed. The Junior Analyst works with stakeholders across NSH, IWK, NSDS, DHW and its many external partners.
The Junior Analyst will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the province for various IT applications.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Support IT applications by:
- Documenting workflows
- Configuration changes
- Performing unit and integration testing
- Creating documentation
- Providing end user training
- Provide end user support
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Post-secondary education in clinical, health science, information technology and or health informatics. Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and relevant experience
- Detail oriented and ability to follow direction
- Able to function well within a team setting and independently
- Well-developed organizational and communications skills
- Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard
- Possess a valid driver’s license and ability for some travel within the province
- Previous experience supporting or using clinical application systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered a strong asset
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills
- Organizational Skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and tasks
- Ability to work successfully within a high change environment with a level of ambiguity with roles and functions

Hours
- Short-assignment, Full-time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
- Approximately 10 months (Dates are subject to change)
Compensation and Benefits
$27.46 - $34.32 Hourly
