The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Quality, Innovation, Research and Training, Mental Health and Addictions the Technical Support Consultant will perform and complete various types of day-to-day administrative and technical coordination duties. The Consultant will provide direct support (e.g., one-on-one, or small group) training, consultation, guidance on clinical workflow integration of digital tools and problem-solve basic technical solutions. The consultant will collaborate closely with leadership and teams to promote consistent service delivery of digital solutions and embrace the adoption of best practices, service excellence and continual improvement approach to digital innovation. The consultant will support the team by leading quality checks, updating online content and information organization, proposing improvements and new functionality, and generating reports. We're looking for someone who is passionate about the latest technology, is a self-starter, and is eager to learn and grow with us.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, flexible work hours may be required. There is travel required (up to 50% - local travel to other sites within the program).

Your Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education, Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in information technology applications and support.
  • Experience with mental health and addictions or related health care field an asset.
  • Previous experience in data auditing/privacy processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other software as required.
  • Previous experience in development and delivery of adult technical training required.
  • Previous experience with a diverse range of digital related functions and activities.
  • Experience with Learning or Knowledge Management Systems an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of PC environment, software, hardware, and changing technologies.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software, acquire and maintain current knowledge to provide technically accurate solutions to users.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and guides
  • Experience with IT Service Management Change Management, Continuous Improvement Initiatives, ITIL, LEAN and/or Project Coordination considered an asset. 
  • High analytical mind with the ability to pay particular attention to details, which enables them to find the right solutions to various problems by thinking creatively and outside the box. 
  • Experience creating training materials and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients. 
  • Project based training and support experience.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a team-based setting where consultation, flexibility, collaboration, and cooperation are essential. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills by email, phone, and in person.
  • Self-motivated and directed to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task when required, deal with conflicting priorities, and coordinate projects to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
