About the Opportunity

The Cape Breton Nephrology Program is seeking a full-time nephrologist to join their team of three nephrologists. This is a progressive and forward-looking organization that provides comprehensive nephrology care in the Eastern Zone of NSHA. Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) has a well-established home dialysis program that includes both peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis. The program is well-served by an interventional radiology service and a vascular access service, and we have a long history of having exceptionally high AV fistula prevalence in our hemodialysis population. This team works closely with expert nephropathologists at Dalhousie University to read local native and transplanted kidneys and regularly conduct telemedicine biopsy rounds.

  • work a full scope of practice as a nephrologist
  • provide work-up and follow-up for local kidney transplant recipients
  • perform open surgical and minimally invasive peritoneal catheter implantation
  • perform biopsies

Expected Hours
