About This Opportunity

A solo practice opportunity is currently available in central Lower Sackville. This solo practice is located in a building with other solo practitioners. The incoming physician would be responsible for hiring their own administrative staff. This practice currently has a patient roster which an incoming physician would inherit, so no need to build from scratch. There is another solo practice opportunity that allows you to build your practice from scratch. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
  • consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
  • act as a patient’s advocate
  • prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
  • report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements

Expected Hours

  • The practitioner’s in the building operate a walk-in clinic to support after-hour patient care
  • The incoming physician can join the walk-in clinic practice schedule if interested
