About This Opportunity

Bridgewater has an opportunity for long-term locum work on the beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia. We are a group of family doctors who want to share the experience of community-based family medicine in a great setting. We are looking for locum coverage for an extended (and negotiable) period this fall and winter. This would be a great opportunity to get to the know the many advantages of working in the Bridgewater area. We have a supportive group of family doctors (working in various types of collaborative practices). We work in the same building, have regular opportunity to discuss cases and share an EMR (MedAccess). Our regional hospital is across the street and there is ready access to lab, radiology and excellent specialist colleagues. We will work around your schedule and interests.

Funding is through the rural locum program with a guaranteed daily rate as well as remuneration for travel. The minimum guaranteed daily rate is $800 per day, with a $175 per diem daily rate.  A locum physician can cover for another physician for a maximum of 30 days per year.  The community is enthusiastic and eager to make new physicians feel welcome and can assist in finding accomodations if needed.
