About the Opportunity
The IM/IT Integration Team Lead reports to the Program Manager - Health Digital Infrastructure, Integrations and Technical Operations, who oversees a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of initiatives and programs throughout the province as the organization moves towards the rationalization of disparate systems.
The IM/IT Integration Team Lead performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to coordination of resources and stakeholders, managing timelines and milestones, technical design and oversite, subject matter expertise and day-to-day supervision of the Nova Scotia Health’s Integration team. In addition to acting as a project coordinator for integration projects, the individual will lead and build collaborative partnership with other IM/IT Leads and Managers, Department of Health, and Wellness, and NSDS. The Integration Team Lead leads testing activities and leads team training activities. The incumbent is detailed orientated and will drive the team to ensure documentation is a key deliverable.
The IM/IT Integration Team Lead works to address issues and design decisions of moderate complexity with little or no supervision and will deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to clinical and non-clinical integrations across the organization. This includes leading the analysis, resolution of issue, communication of resolution to affected users.

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Information systems or health related field
- Consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience
- Project Management and change management certification would be considered an asset
- Minimum of 3- 5 years of experience in Clinical Application implementation, previous Lead experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge and skill level of HL7 v2 and v3, FHIR, REST, API integrations, JSON, file transfer processes ie. SFTP, SQL queries, preferably in a health environment.
- Advanced experience with Corepoint integration engine or Rhapsody will be consider an asset
- Experience in clinical applications systems and related services in a complex health care organizational environment considered an asset
- Proficiency in various programming languages such as Java, Python, Java Script, HTML, SQL
- Proficient knowledge of healthcare industry required familiarity with clinical workflows
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders

- Proficient with various Microsoft Operating systems
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL

Compensation and Incentives
$37.66 - $47.07 Hourly
